In Dialogue: Wild Food in the City

In Dialogue: Wild Food in the City

Join the South London Botanical Institute in exploring wild food. How might it support us to live healthier more sustainable lives, whilst deepening our connection to the land?
What would happen if you lived solely on a foraged wild diet? Can foraging ever be sustainable? How can eating wild plants deepen our sense of belonging in our cities? And importantly, did hunter-gatherers eat cake?
In this In Dialogue session ethnobotanist and wild food expert Gemma Hindi, in conversation with SLBI’s Director Elyssa Livergant, reflects on her participation in the Wildbiome Project. The Wildbiome Project is a citizen science research study exploring the impacts of wild plant species on our gut microbiome, health and wellbeing.
SLBI garden will be open from 6.30pm to relax in before the event.

Time: 19:00 BST
